Eurotank Environmental has had a team working over in Northern Ireland, carrying out tank lining on GRP tanks at three supermarket forecourts.
There were two teams working across the three sites, with one installing single-skin Lifeliner on one unleaded tank and decommissioning another using Eurotank’s foam injection system at a site in Omagh.
Sites in Coleraine and Cookstown both had two unleaded tanks lined with single-skin Lifeliner.All three sites continued to trade throughout.
Edward Wheeler, Eurotank’s Group Managing Director, said: “Ageing GRP unleaded tanks need upgrading because modern fuel blends cause widespread softening, which leads to permeation of the GRP and ultimately tank failure.”
