Edward co-founded Eurotank with his father Geoffrey Wheeler in 2001, initially working as a field engineer specialising in the removal of water and internal assessment of live underground tanks using pioneering endoscope technology modified for use with fuel.
Edward moved out of the field in 2006 to take on the role of Managing Director, and today, Eurotank’s strong leadership team enables Edward to focus on business development and management systems to continue growing and diversifying Eurotank’s operations.
Edward is married with two children and when he’s not driving them to their numerous hobbies or kids’ parties, he enjoys boating, dog walking in the New Forest and supporting Southampton FC.
Mike joined Eurotank in December 2018 from PwC UK, where he worked for seven years, most recently as a Manager within Assurance, and qualified as a Chartered Certified accountant.
Leading all finance and HR functions across the Group, Mike came on board at the point when Eurotank was at the start of a period of rapid growth, with the number of employees rising from less than 50 to 130 in September 2021.
Outside of work, Mike is chairman and manager of a ladies football team, plays for a men’s football team and is a keen pianist. He also loves to travel and supports Leeds United FC.
Alex spent more than five years as a Eurotank Field Engineer before taking on an operational management role in 2015. During his time in the field, Alex gained experience in every aspect of Eurotank’s tank-related operations.
After one year as Operations Manager, Alex was promoted to Operations Director of Eurotank Environmental, leading the team and overseeing all tank-related services and processes.
Alex is married with two lively dogs and enjoys pottering around the garden tending to his plants and veggie patch.
Jack joined Eurotank as a Field Engineer at the age of 17 and over the following four years gained experience in all aspects of the company’s fuel system maintenance operations.
In 2012 he was promoted to the role of Contracts Manager, overseeing Eurotank’s key fuel system maintenance accounts with a keen focus on delivering the best possible customer service.
Fast forward to September 2015 and Jack was appointed Group Operations Director for Eurotank’s pump service and construction divisions. As the divisions grew, Jack handed Europump Maintenance over to Lee Taylor and remained the director responsible for Eurotank Installations.
In 2021, Jack moved into the newly created role of Group Sales Director, overseeing the sales, marketing and events functions within the business.
In his spare time, Jack is kept busy by his young family with lots of trips to parks swimming pools and soft play centres. He also loves DIY and home improvements.
Lee joined Europump in February 2021 from TLM, where he worked in solutions management. Lee’s experience as a service and installation engineer makes him the perfect person to lead the day-to-day running of Europump, working with and improving the skillsets of the whole team.
Outside of work, Lee likes to practice his juggling skills, which are so impressive that in his younger days, he was the knife and fire juggler and fire breather in a travelling show.
Amy has worked for Eurotank since 2012 when she initially joined as a freelancer to launch a printed customer magazine, after leaving her role of Deputy Editor on industry magazine Forecourt Trader.
Amy is now responsible for all internal and external communications, marketing and PR activities across the Group.
Amy’s passion for scuba diving is currently on hold until her children are older but outside of work she busies herself with family and friends, and partakes in a ‘Mums bottomless brunch’ as often as she can!
Chris was with Eurotank from the very beginning, travelling the country as a field engineer carrying out tank cleans. As the company grew and took on more engineers, Chris moved into a managerial role as Technical Director, helping to embed innovative technologies into Eurotank’s processes in the field.
In the Autumn of 2011, Chris moved to Wisconsin in the US to take up a role at one of Eurotank’s suppliers of tank testing equipment, Purpora Engineering. Chris travelled the world training companies to use the state-of-the-art Alert system and finally returned to the UK in 2016 to head up Eurotank’s health, safety, environment and quality functions. He is responsible for keeping the company compliant with all legal obligations and working with the teams to keep them safe while working on site.
Chris recently completed a Masters degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management (in partnership with NEBOSH) with distinction.
Chris is married with three children and enjoys running, playing golf and watching football, particulary Newcastle FC.
