Highway Stops new jetwash facility is open for business

Highway Stops’ new valeting facilities at Anson Service Station in Hampshire are open and trading above expectations, said Tony Head, Development Director of Highway Stops Retail.

The local area was lacking any jet washing facilities so Highway Stops was determined to make space at the Gosport forecourt. “There’s only a rollover car wash nearby so jet washing was a facility customers were looking for,” explained Tony. “Anson is a very tight site so we had to be quite creative to get a jet wash in there.”

To make space on the forecourt, the project began with Eurotank Installations relocating the forecourt’s vent pipes. They then went on to build the jetwash bay with all the necessary drainage, before the jetwash and enclosure was installed.

Highway Stops is putting a big emphasis on valeting and has created its own Stop and Superwash brand. The facilities at Anson feature a top-of-the-range jet wash from Electrajet, along with a boom system for the jet wash hoses. This prevents dragging of hoses across vehicles, while they’re being cleaned.

Tony added: “The project was completed on budget, on time and initial sales are above expectations so we’re doing really well.”
